It's a Zelda: Wind Waker Rito person, if you can't tell. Usually they're a lot more cartoony and cell shaded, but I like translating things into demi-realism, that aren't normally seen that way. The hardest thing was figuring out what was what, based on the official artwork. I took some liberties, though I hope not too many.

As I've said before, I don't generally enter contests, but I liked this one, I like the Rito from Wind Waker, and as it turns out, I haven't put up any actual fan art for them here. Normally, I prefer to do fan art of real in game characters as tribute, but this contest called for an OC -- so why not.

I'm thinking, his name is "Squall" ... No relation to the FF/KH fellow. "Squall" is a type of powerful sea storm, and it sounds fitting for a Rito. He's a Rito Commander who trains Rito in combat when dangerous times draw near. I also drew him to be Medli's father, evident by the orange tones in his hair and the lighter skin tone. He has presumably passed on before "Wind Waker" took place -- and likely when Medli was very young, but his body was never found.

That's all the story I have for now. Ideas are welcome, though I don't write fan fiction so I haven't got much of a place for a fan OC, unless I make a variation for my own story? Hm.
