My thoughts from the reddit thread: "I think what's great about this is that ancient forms often translate awkwardly into skyscraper action, the symmetrical towers with the gap and an implied 'roof peak' in the negative space I think is a very cool and innovative way to overcome the old->skyscraper translation problem in a way that feels true to the spirit of the form while simultaneously reaching skyward without any dull vertical repetition. It is as if it's the 'next natural step' when that style of architecture 'levels up' with modern building techniques, without it feeling like an artificial pasting-on or ornamentation as a shallow salute to the past without a comprehensive, organic, ingrained ancient-style expression."
