Description
It is theorized that after nuclear war, a large amount of soot and smoke will be ejected into the Earth's stratosphere, creating an environment of reduced sunlight and cold weather for a period of years after the event. As if there aren't already enough examples of atomic atrocities in history and in the the news *shakes fist as JR Oppenheimer*
A concept piece for the mysterious Uranium Club. Also, I submitted this to the IFX monthly challenge (the theme was 'Chilling') here: [link]

Shouldn't that dog be covered as well? Especially with a gas mask? Because in a post apocalyptic comic, this wanderer has his dog covered in bandages, a type of cape thing, and a modified gas mask.

Resources are scarce. He has to take care of himself so that he can care for the dog. Maybe that is what they are searching for. Dog clothes. And food.

True, and keeping that dog alie can be useful from hunting to knowing if there is someone hostile. But I love the pic though, would be a great intro to a story

The world is on the road to the end, i wonder if there would be those would had something in plan to save a part of the human race?

Unfortunately I think it is inevitable. Individuals have to plan for themselves, and their families. Communities, if they can afford it. The guys at the top will be dropping the bombs, so I don't think we can look to them for help.
Might not happen in the near future, but I'd say government servants around the globe have metaphorically kicked a hornet's nest.

I had thought of a possible scenario that if one group managed to unite enough people of the scientific side and those of similar minds, and then tried to combine a plan and try to get people off of earth to anywhere else, and survive and thrive, the human race will survive. As long as the people agreed to the aim. But that's unlikely.

Yeah true. Well, with the recent success of private spaceflight, there might be hope to leave this rock in the event of nuclear war. Call me a pessimist but I think the big one will happen long before we can get off-world and to a habitable place.
I don't think humanity will be entirely destroyed either, but it might be a reboot. Like after the Plague.

But one big problem is the amount of nukes fired, remember we can only resist a certain level before we die. Or we go Fallout... cool but grim.

The wandering loner. Reminds me of fallout. They should make one in a nuclear winter. Great lighting and colors. Makes the world feel dead yet it holds beauty. My favorite type of fallout.

I'd shell out the money for Fallout Nuclear Winter in a heartbeat (as you can probably tell I like the series ). When the flash inevitably goes off at least some of us will know how to cook up a rad-scorpian. Survival of the fittest, my friend.
