Description "The Pickaxehead shark is a large species of Hammerhead with solid points on each side of it's head. In order to break open the shells of it's prey, it swings it's head back and forth, effectively using it as a pickaxe. Ordinarily, whacking your head against something repeatedly introduces the risk of brain damage. The woodpecker solves a very similar problem with a cleverly-adapted head anatomy. The Pickaxehead Shark, on the other hand, solves the problem by being so dumb that getting brain damage doesn't even change much. The Pickaxehead Shark is not harmful to humans."

One of my six submissions for AVNJ's second invent-a-fish contest.
