Description
This is something I made quite a while back as part of a now-abandoned project. A few notes about the lore of this world:

- Climate change has made large chunks of the planet's land area utterly uninhabitable, although there are a few domed cities surviving in the wasteland

- Colonies have been built on the Moon, Mars and at L-points

- Forged from the flames of the Second American Civil War, the Republic of America has tried it's best to avoid it's predecessor's mistakes, with mixed results

- The Amazon rainforest is completely gone, but Brazil has plans to rebuild it using genetic samples taken throughout the century

- The reunification of Peru and Bolivia is under discussion, with ideological differences being the main obstacle toward such a mutually beneficial union

- The Nordic Federation is the third most populated nation in Europe, after the great migrations of the late 21st century

- Scotland voted for independence in the 2040s, encouraging Northern Ireland to do the same and reunite with the South less than a year later. Both nations have maintained neutrality ever since.

- Despite numerous controversies, the now biologically immortal Queen Elizabeth II maintains her position on the throne of the United Kingdom of England and Wales

- The East Slavic Federation, formed from a reunification of Russia, Belarus, Novorossiya and Ukraine, is the most powerful nation in Europe, formed after a decisive victory against the European Union in the 2050s. The EU itself also unified after the war, and went on to annex Switzerland, Serbia and Kosovo, but unlike it's eastern counterpart is full of discontent and separatist movements, especially in Germany and the Balkans.

- Romania got the short straw during the war of the 2050s. The west became a state of the EU, while the east become a Russian client state. Things are generally better in the east, with a more transparent government and the luxury of maintaining some level of independence.

- The East Slavic Federation and the People's Republic of China are roughly tied as the most powerful nations on Earth

- North Korea imploded in the 2040s, leading to a bloody civil war which ended with the nation being partitioned between China and South Korea. When the latter broke free from the United States it was rewarded with China's portion.

- Founded in 2048 after the Antarctic Treaty was rewritten, the Republic of Antarctica started off as a jointly-controlled puppet state but has since shown it's worth as an independent entity. With an entire continent of untouched natural resources, and a climate that's only becoming more habitable over the years, Antarctica is quickly becoming the wealthiest spot on the map. Greenland is in a similar situation too.
