Now, that is a ridiculous resolution.
All in all, this probably took me a good two months to complete. It is by far the most work I've put into a piece of art like this, and it was an interesting challenge. It was much larger than my monitor, so I just hope the perspective and composition looks good.
The composition on this piece was extremely challenging for me. I wanted to make all three segments work well as standalone images, but also fit together as a whole. I think it worked out well in the end here.
It was a difficult piece, but it was very satisfying.

All I have to say is: wow. I really love this piece. I love* the contrast, and the whole Good vs. Evil idea really fascinates me. c:
But! What would be really cool, and what I would love to have, is a fine art print of all three of the pieces - the right, middle, and left. Seeing this piece on a large canvas print would look amazing. c: Really, you could also make a lot of money on this one piece, too. cx I would seriously buy individual fine art prints of each* of the three pieces, in the biggest size you could. xD seriously.. would you please? xD in my opinion, the fine arts would look much better than the normal photos, or even the canvases they also sell here. Just saying. You should do it. c:

I played around some with print settings on the large piece here, and the resolution is such that I can't make a good print of it through DA... All of the choices either zoom in to the point where we might as well look at one of the smaller pieces, or they fill with blank space near the top and bottom of the piece. None of the available aspect ratios look good.
I would make some merged prints of this piece, if I knew more about how to make them. That is something that I've been planning on learning more about, one of these days.
One of these days, I hope to sell some art at conventions or a Renaissance Festival.
I have enabled canvas prints on the three smaller pieces, at least.

Wow, impressive piece. Two powerful forces ready to face off. Not sure which side is "good" or "evil", but I did notice several Phoenixes to the right, supposedly pure creatures, as well as a Lady Justice to the left with an important difference.
The reason Lady Justice is blindfolded & therefor blind, is so justice is dealt out fairly & evenly, no matter position, wealth or influence. However, I notice she has no such blindness, does this mean she has no neutrality, influenced by others? Or is this just me noticing you accidentally left it off?
I also notice the left forces, despite having what appears to be a floating wizard as well as man on horseback, seem to be using more technological weaponry, while the right use more supernatural creatures. I remember reading something along the lines of "left wing" politics being more about advancement & progress, while the "right wing" is more about keeping traditions & values as they were. This work does seem to reflect this, wondering if that was purposely done...
Either way, all things aside, awesome work...

The blindfold was left off the Lady Justice golem mainly because I wanted to draw the glowing eye, there.
That area seemed much too dark without those bits of light.
When designing this piece, I didn't want to make it into just a "Good vs Evil" type picture, so I tried to focus more on order and chaos. I am more experienced drawing the mythological creatures on the right side, so when it was time to add on to the picture, I tried using some technology and magic on the side, to balance things out. The connections to left wing and right wing ideologies were not intentional, but I know I thought that comment was quite intriguing, too.
One of the reasons why I usually don't say too much about the pieces I make, is because I like leaving some aspects of interpretation up to the viewer.
I mainly try to draw interesting scenes that get the imagination going. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed this one.

The asethetics in this piece REALLY makes it seem like the golemns and technological side seem like the bad guys. I don't know why, the darker colors just make me feel like they're the bad guys... But then I notice that they have that thing that looks like a castle all the way to the side, and that makes me think... Are they just defending their lands? Anyway, the point is this... This is an incredible piece, and it would take a long time for a person like me to figure out which side is the actuall good side in this picture. Very nice job. You deserve a virtual cookie.

After reading through the critiques, I think adding a few more light sources over on the golem side of things would have balanced out the light from the phoenixes a bit more...
I didn't want to make it just a "Good vs Evil" type scene.

People tend to underestimate the other side, with both machines and magic backing it.
I did my best to balance out the two sides, but those phoenixes are rather flashy.
It is a lot of fun watching the replies on this one.
