Description
Art complete! This piece was quite a bit simpler than my last one, but I think the perspective and composition are a bit more elegant. That sky sure was fun to draw.
I'm trying to work on my painting technique, so this one is much less reliant on lines than my last piece. Also, I got tired of using a pre-made tree brush, so I made a new brush of my own again.
I hope you all enjoy it. Comments and criticism are always welcome, and I'll do my best to reply to every one.

At first I didn't realise the dragon was so huge, then I was like 'Treeess...Dragon..Whoot!' I absolutely love your style of drawing dragons <3

It takes up less space on the piece, compared to most I draw, but it's technically quite large...
I'm glad you enjoy my style.
I'll so my best to continue improving and making interesting things.

That's what makes it so interesting, at first you don't realise that technically it is a large dragon :3
Good luck, I'm sure you will~

Why do you keep submitting to MAA? I can't critique this! T_T I couldn't even emulate this. You are too awesome.
I would like to apologize for my consistent lack of advice-giving as far as your works are concerned. I try to comment on everything, or most everything submitted, but when it comes to your stuff. I just draw blanks.

I like the group.
It has some good tutorials, and I am still doing my best to improve, after all.
Maybe my art can inspire one of the others, too.
Critique is a skill that many people overlook, too. Even if you don't feel like you can emulate this, you can still critique it. When I was just starting, a few friends that never drew at all would help me out and point out mistakes. Even if you don't see any, pointing out things that you feel are especially effective can be helpful, as well.
It is quite an honor to hear that, though.
Anyway, I know I'd like to participate in some chat events there some time, but it seems like the chat is almost always empty.

I tell my boyfriend a similar thing pretty often. I ask him for advice or "what looks better to you", and he's always so hesitant - and I'm like "you don't have to be good at art to be able to see what looks right." Of course, he couldn't critique. I feel like critiquing is something that takes a fair amount of skill in it's own right.
Yea. Myth used to try to run events on... Saturday I think, but no one ever shows up, so I think she gave up. I think pretty soon I'm going to try an organize a big chat event, with some of our affiliates as well - but I can't until I'm able to leave DragonArtists as a moderator... and I can't do that until the contest there is over. Oy.
Anyway. I'll try my hand at this... Just a bit.
I really like the atmosphere you have going on, but you've got the same thing going for the rest of your artwork too. You're really great with the sort of, unified moody color schemes. Even in a lot of your older works in your gallery you've got that going for you. There's not much contrast in the color - but the light/dark makes up for that easily.
In this picture that cyan ring/spiral really sticks out, and I can't figure out if it's a good thing or not. I think it's good though.
Something about the dragon's front legs makes its position on the mountain look somewhat precarious. It doesn't really seem to be holding up its weight with its arms, instead just balancing itself there, so it's back legs must be doing most of the work - but we can't see most of them. Of course, you've also got that whole "stretching into the air" look, which I'm sure you'd want to preserve.

That was rather helpful.
Picking color schemes is something that I always have fun with. For a while, I've been working in black and white, and coloring the piece towards the end of my process. I've found that makes it easier for me to get the lighting and brightness of the piece down.
Critique and artistic skill have some overlap, but they are separate areas of expertise, I think. Giving critique can make you a better artist, because you know what sort of things to look for in your own work.
It would be nice of those Saturday events were up and going, or something. I sat in there for a few hours last week, but no one showed up. I'll be there again today, after I finish with work.

I can never get the angle I want when I draw, and if I do something is either to big or to small. LOL

I re-sized pieces of this one several times when I was working on it, to get the effect right.
My original sketch had the same sort of problems.

Woahh, woow, the art is so smooth and the details are brilliant! The sky was fun to draw- and it ended as the star of the show (in my opinion) The way the grass sways is just, just... awesome!
