Happy Friday, everyone! Going to be uploading a couple more character base edits today. :> This fella here is Derecho, one of Daring Do and Doctor Caballeron's sons. He's one of my absolute favorite nextgen characters, so I'm very excited to share him! I adopted him late last year and fell head over heels for this grumpy lil guy. I edited his palette slightly from his original colors, but I adore his neutral tones. He also has a little vest that goes with him, but I left it out of this edit for simplicity. You'll be able to see it on his ToyHouse when it is ready!

Derecho "Re-Re" Do [Doctor Caballeron x Daring Do]

Derecho is one of Daring and Caballeron's two sons. Born just a year before his brother Desperado, Derecho still very much considers himself his sibling's "big brother," and his characteristic serious demeanor evolved over years of trying to protect Dezzie from the lingering consequences of their parents' thieving lifestyles. Long after the pair's retirement, unwanted visitors arrived unannounced on the Dos' doorsteps, prompting Derecho to dedicate himself to the study and collection of magical artifacts for his and his family's protection. One thing led to another, and now Derecho not only operates the museum with the largest artifact collection in Equestria — but also hoards a secret collection of powerful relics, many of which were won in skirmishes with the criminals and thieves his father once associated with. He keeps tabs on the entire Equestrian black market, ensuring any deals happen only with his approval. He's earned a nickname for himself amongst the criminal underworld: "The Storm." His family and the public at large remain unaware of Derecho's more unsavory pursuits, recognizing him instead for the great contributions to the history and archeology disciplines he makes through his research.

During Morningstar's travels across Equestria, he and his gaggle of friends somehow end up right in the middle of the unseen struggle between Derecho and the region's operating S.M.I.L.E. agents. Finding a kindred spirit in Derecho, the half-demon prince may or may not start to develop feelings for this complicated crook as the situation unfolds...
