Wow, what a costume this was!! I'm still buzzing from the reactions we got for it!!My friend and I had planned on going as Fuyu and Hakuin (from Winter Demon) to AX long before we learned the author and artist team would be there...but needless to say, when we found out, we spared no expense on our outfits! It took an hour and a half for my friend to paint my body blue like that, and that was just one coat! Touch-ups took anywhere from a half hour to forty-five minutes... x_x ...whoof.
Anyway, for those of you who haven't read the series, the blue one (me) is named Fuyu. The monk (Kailah) is Hakuin. They're from an incredible series called Winter Demon by YaoiPress. Seriously, if you like yaoi, choke through the crappy art in the first book, okay? The second and third are worth every penny and then some - heck, would I let Kailah paint my entire body blue for a crappy series? And if you're one of those elitist whiners like I used to be ("Eww, yaoi that wasn't done in Japan!!"), now is the time to get over it. I did.

Painting my body IS a pain, and we use Paradise makeup, a water-base makeup sold through Mehron (it used to rub off on my Hakuin, but we recently found a mervelous solution to that problem).
Don't give up hope on finding a cosplayer! Ask around online; someone might be willing to co-cosplay with you and meet you at a convention!

I have wanted to do that for soo long!
I absolutly love the series at first I was eww Yaoi, but then I deicided to give it a try and I liked it, and that like turned into love and now I give you this wise advice for anyone who tells off Yaoi "Dont dis it till you've tried it" I converted by friend with those words needless to say she loved it.
