this here Mongul was done for the "Green Lanterns: Rise of the Manhunters" game... I don't know if he came out in it (anyone out there know? but he was pretty damn fun to design... most of these 'brutes' usually are... as a designer, you don't have to worry about 'pretty', just make the bastard look menacing and cool.

I could totally see a Supes game similar to God Of War 3 (like how kratos took on those HUGE titans) and especially with such a massive scale of such powerful enemies like Mongul,LOBO!,brainiac,Darksied,and so many more iconic and awesome baddies...i think paul dini should totally give this project the green light!!!! (we need an EPIC SUPERMAN GAME!!!!) btw LOOOOOOOVEE your concept art! SUPERMAN FTW!!

I like this version of the character . It reminds me of your work for arkham asylum and arkham city your art always looked so menacing and tough . I hope the hire you again if they ever do a superman game .

man, you made a pretty bland Big guy GL villain and made him pretty boss! I think the scars on his face really adds to his character

hahaha... nice mix of too much sugar and alien movies as a kid, a ton of reference books, monster and mechanical fetishism, and believe it or not, a newly found respect for fashion designers!

Fashion designers are weird...they can take a simple sketch and make this notoriously designed item out of thin air and in the real world too.

they more like sculptors... they deal with materials and what those material do with gravity, but the principles of 'clear and interesting silhouettes', color scheme, positive/negative space, where to put the detail for the sake of focus etc etc... all those things apply across the board in most arts.

I take that back. I didn't find the game all that bad, all things considered. I'd even call it God of War for kids.

Speaking of 3D, the game has an optional 3D settings, but I recommend against using them. They're pretty pointless.

The more he gets - the harder he falls. It needs more than fancy enhancements to take down superhero.
Astounding (re)design, as always. Nothing left untouched but still very recognizable.
