Description PRoject BRief:
For this next challenge I'd like for you to create a fabulous entirely black ensemble (including accessories) that can be taken from a day look to a evening look with a few simple accessory changes. It's all about details, texture, & differentiating yourselves because you all will be using the same one color.

Name of Topic: BLACK MAGIC
Fabric(s): tulle, matte satin 65% polyester 35% cotton, tweed(jacket) ,chiffon (minimal part of lapel)
model: bette
Description:

after reading again. i realised i understood the brief in a strangely twisted way.. and now tt i misunderstand.. my submittion might not work for this challenge .. but i'll submit it first ya, if cant, i'll amend it !

inspiration: i came across a very beautiful origami based on tessellations the other day for a project, and i was so fascinated by it. [link]

i was thinking of making it for this challenge as it is amazing how math and geometric works, i tried doing a whole fabric. oh, it was so unbelievably hard!!!!!!!
this was my first try on silk organza. doing the crease itself took me a whole day.u'll noe why wen u try it urself. hahaha! [link] this is the first try i did.

day look:
a bubble dress , skirt made of the back train from night look. some tulle infront are detachable to make up the night one, it'll be attached with invisible zipper for safety reasons. ( some accidents fo happen, and it's at the front part of the garment, so i dun wan to tk the risk of using buttons)
the jacket is made of tweed and the lapel is made of several layers of tulle itself at the top layer, followed by alternate chiffon layer.

Night look:
as u noe the night look is made possible by adding the rest of the layers to the garment. oh yes, the garment is a drapped and folded before sewing together. the bust area is actually knife pleats.

i'm not really sure if these are considered as accessories. which i doubt so.. so tell me what u think! thank's!

A very strong connection between those both pieces...

But, its very normal, seen that , done that before pieces..nothing really special.

But what i really like is the texture of the garments, that what brings them together, and also the elegancy in black really brings out the feel

not a bad one.

O_O_O_O_O_O_O LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SERIES. (cause i love black ._.)
hmm jie, your design is correct because the brief also said that "It's all about details, texture, & differentiating yourselves because you all will be using the same one color". your details on the designs apply to them. don't worry!
