Wee I'm having fun with my copic markers =w= yupp. so this is basically my first real picture using these awesome markers *q*this picture was actually done really quickly, i just drew anything so that I could color it. This is the character design for my little sister (I have my own). Basically a design for her only in some kind of battle/rpg/super ninja form XDD
Yeah I still need some more practice with it.. and i can't achieve all the effects i want to because I don't have all the right colors ;_;

lol thanks i guess XD but i do understand wat ur saying.. i've seen people get ahold of expensive markers yet have no idea how to use them and just end up making their pictures look worse .__.;; but i'm only still practicing with them.. i'll post up a pic of a more recent work i did with markers soon ^-^

after a very hard week, Christmas break has come at last! and i will now finally comment on everyones pictures. which will take me a while
now, i don't know much about copic markers (though i do envy you for having them ;D) but i think you did a splendid job. you make it look easy to use them, truth be told, but are they hard to use? i've wondered for a long time how they work. humm....
the colors are vivid and the girl is cute ^^

hmm it depends one the person i guess. Using markers to me comes pretty naturally (i wish that was the same for digital stuff D: ) but yeah its not the easiest thing to control though. You have to at least know what you're doing and have good control over your strokes. Like hard pressure to light pressure and how fast you can color.. and how well you can stay in lines. XDD
copic makers (well sketch and ciao.. which most people use) have a 'brush end' no its not real bristles.. but kinda like a foam (?)

yeah, i've wondered if i'd have an easier time with copic markers or the such because digital art i have a hard time seeing perspective and shading with. so sad. but copic markers cost SO MUCH! ack.

How different are they from Prismacolor ones?

hmm kinda different but not all too different 1) THE SMELL XDD 2) brush nib 3) the ink flow and how it comes out on paper

The copic markers are really fun to layer with water colours and coloured pencils!
You can get some really fun colours doing it, Or if you layer copic over copic you can mix fun colours.
