Description
Father of all monsters!I rescatched this one several times. I wanted the human part in it, but then there was the problem that he, compared to the other heads, was too small for my taste. Then I had to decide wether I take dragon heads, animal heads or a mix. After I started to draw the animal heads I wanted to get as much diversity in it as possible (pray and predator - fish, reptiles, amphibia, mammals, birds).
Drawing typhon is very interesting, he got a lot of possibilities.

I saw old greek, mythological drawings with a more human Typhon. The upper half was human, long coiled snake bodies as feet, coiled and large wings. Its also said instead of a human head, a hundred dragon or snake heads erupted from his neck and shoulders. Fire flashed from his eyes.Β There was a discription saying that his heads could make sounds of every beast on the world and that he is the father of all monsters. So I wanted to pick as many different animals as possible. So I tried to mix everything a bit and I wanted him to look more like a dragon as a whole ^^.

The way you put all the heads together is great and the glowing red eye adds homogeneity to the all thing. The way you did the teeth of the monster is just brilliant and the all thing is great enough to make me afraid of a whale and a walrus

Bummer, sounds like you are due for an upgrade. Β Mine was doing the same thing. Β I just got a new lap top with 8 gig ram and a 2.8 processor with a terrabyte hard drive. Β It runs everything like a dream! Β I was working with an 80 mb file with 30 or so layers open and it never even flinched! Β I even had DA open and pandora radio going! Β The best part is I got this lap top refurbished on Amazon for only 349$ Β It retails for 900! Β I can finally run Corel Painter 2015 now, I am so happy! Β There are some super cool brushes in 2015!

Wel I have SAI too, but I am so adapted too my old programm (sniffels - kidding ^^). At least (I think) I know all functions of it, which are for sure not as many as Corel Painter has ( I tried a 30 day version).
