Such a soft and gentle composition, the mood of lazy afternoon with a good cigarette and a glass if sherry.
Amazing work.

I love this book (actually anything by Oscar Wilde) and this painting is beautiful and elegant, just like Lord Henry! Wonderful colors and detail! Is that a dragon that I see in the cigarette smoke?

Wow, the detail you put in the poodle's fur is amazing! Of course, the rest of the picture is great, too.

Great job as always! The dog's coat is very detailed and precise, and I'm lovin' the smoke curling into the air.

I love how so much of the texture comes solely from the inkwork. Bravo.

This piece is wonderful, very much like Wilde's Character. The style is quite reminiscent of the author's era. Lovely and dark.
I never thought of Henry as Mephisto, but it works most splendidly

It is actually a quite common comparison. As far as I know, Wilde himself stated that he based his novel on the Faust-Mephisto concept.
He even gave Lord Henry a goatee
