During production, Butch Hartman began to overspend the budget for the show. The animation was switched to a form that costs twice as much money. Butch had started to hire voice actors without Nick's consent and asked them for 2 million dollars to advertiseΒ The Ultimate Enemy. Butch thought that the special episode would bring in more money through merchandise. However, it didn't make more money and Danny Phantom was a marketing disaster.And thats why the show got cancelled

I think instead of some of the teeth showing, just having a grin (smugness levels optional) would have done the job better

That's nicely done. I've heard a little about the character and the show, but the green and black is a nice combination.
