I originally wanted to do this as a video tutorial, but time and technical difficulties got to me, so I did the best I could with a written one. Please excuse the incredibly awkward drawing. I'm horrible at drawing with a mouse. My tablet was at my in-laws' house.

A storyboard is just a representation, not the actual film itself. It helps the director plan things out and get ideas for how the film flows. You do not use frames directly from the storyboard into the final film, this is why you could even doodle it on a napkin with stick figures. The fancy well-done storyboards that you usually see are for audience purposes and selling... they more than likely were not done for pre-production. This isn't always the case, but it often is.
