I'm a loyal user of that Ames guide. I set mine to 4, partly because I draw large pages now.Β

How do you format the program to work with you though? The comics I try look strange.

All of my comics are drawn traditionally, so I can't help with specific programs, sorry.Β
When I tried digital lettering, I scanned in a comic I liked and sized the lettering that way.

I got a correspondence message recently saying someone wanted to add one of my deviations to a group, so I clicked yes. That's about all I know about that.

Very handy guide....although the last part doesn't really pertain to me much since I my comic's all digital. But handy guide nonetheless.

This is a great resource, and as you pointed out, badly needed. I'll take a look at this as a guide if/when I get around to doing those Scare bears comics. I was also actually thinking about doing a comic about all the funny stupid shit that me and my band have to deal with as a band. Think it would work?

lol I was just thinking about the scare bears yesterday. I found that email of the sketches you did and wondered why I haven't read any yet. Now you have the guide, you can get busy.
Just make sure the band strip is relatable to the people like me who have no clue what goes into stuff like that. But yeah, it would definitely be a cool feature to add to your site.

I've been saving this and saving this till I had proper time to really look at it cause I know it would be worth the read and wait.
So thank you because even though I'm not a cartoonist I love the genre. Btw you don't have a hand tutorial floating around somwhere...do yah?

I actually -have- a lettering guide... meh. I never used mine, but then, I don't draw comics so it's OK.
Hopefully some people will -read- this...it really improves one's comics when they look professional and read well. The funniest joke in the world won't save you if I can't figure out who is talking.

-nods- Mine used to be horrible. When I went to art school they had a class on lettering so that's the only way mine looks the way it does. You just have to go thru an insane ammount of repitition to train yourself how to change it.

holy moo cow o_O Just read this thru, don't understand half of it and will have to read it several times, I can tell. Wow I had no idea so much went into a comic! I'm humbled and impressed as hell
