Description
Like I said, I relied on tutorials so much as a beginning artist that I thought I'd give back to dA and make a tutorial of my own. I may do more depending on whether or not people actually get use out of this.
This is how I do lineart, and I hope that through watching me, you can find your own unique way of doing it.

What a nice little tutorial! Looks pretty helpful to those who are new to lineart. It sure would have helped me back in the day hahah! I had no idea what I was doing [; Anywhoo! I really like how you showed your different drawings of fur.. very neat. I love your fur style with the little curls on the end. I might have to try drawing fur in your style some day! (: If you don't mind, that is [:

Thanks so much! Yeah, you can absolutely try drawing in my style! I think it'd be fun to see. Maybe I'll return the favor if you'd like.

Usually when I outline the outside it looks a bit sketchy (or better known as a harry line). Is there a way to fix it?

First off, I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with "sketchy" lines. A lot of artists purposely use them as part of their style, and they can show a lot of movement and shading.
But if you don't like them...
I'd personally recommend going over the most important lines with a thicker pen because the thicker the pen, the less sketchy the line. If you've made a line that you don't like, I'd SLOWLY draw over it a few more times to gradually make the line bolder and smoother. I think that moving your paper as you work will also help you. If your hand feels awkward while drawing a line, it'll probably cramp up and shake. If you rotate your paper so that your hand is always comfortable and moving smoothly, you'll draw cleaner lines.
Hopefully some of this makes sense!

Interesting :)
Can I ask, do you know if you can use watercolour over the top of those pens? Sharpies are my weapon of choice but I need a thinner one really but all the biros etc I find tend to blur D: It's quite possible I don't leave them long enough before painting though maybe xD
So was just wondering as then I can look for that brand too instead of just Sharpies hehe ;)

Yeah, not all pens love watercolor.
I've NEVER had a problem with Faber Castell or Sharpie pens with watercolor, though, even if I paint seconds after inking. I'd suggest ditching the biros and either getting an extra fine sharpie or investing in a better set of markers if your intention is to use watercolor over them.
Faber Castells aren't cheap, but if you search around, they aren't too bank-breaking either. I got mine on sale at my local craft store for about $15, and a set usually lasts me at least a year. Ebay is also worth checking out for some good art supplies.

Sharpies are beautiful for not being ruined by watercolour so I stock up on the double ended versions (thick one side, thin the other), though can never find them in shops for some reason so have to buy them off eBay which always feels a little ridiculous haha. I just love them too much and haven't found better! :3
Ah that's cool, I will definitely keep an eye out for them and look in the local bargain art shop here just incase, thanks :)

Not a problem! I actually like getting supplies on eBay. xD sometimes they have really good deals on usually expensive markers. (like $5 per marker! It's ridiculous!)
