how did you get the repainting on the face to be so "sketchy," like scratchy if you know what I mean when you were using such a large brush. I use GIMP as well so you can tell me everything. Thanks

I was using quite a small brush for the dodging/burning, maybe my description was off. I use the scale slider in the toolbox when I'm using a brush, so I don't know the exact pixel value...But the brush should be fairly small.

I couldn't resist the temptation to ask...but is this Adder or Diddy on PB?
This is an awesome tutorial, but people kept asking me if I was drawing the Adder or Diddy way or something. It was like....lol wut.

When you are repainting are you using the dodge tool or a paintbrush?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

citylight-skylines In reply to OakCreekHorseDesigns [2012-07-07 04:36:47 +0000 UTC]

Dodge tool. You can always duplicate the horse layer to do the dodging and burning though.

You can do most of the same things with GIMP, if you know how, but it crashes about 10x more often. xD

Thank you, dear.

This makes me want to use GIMP 2.6 again since I got along with it more than I did with Photoshop Elements. I might use your tutorial some time soon. ^.^

You should make some manip where you paint a horse as a golden statue.

Seriously, do it. o..o

That's a really interesting idea, I'm definately going to take that one into consideration.

Like, King Midas or something. xD
