Description
In the unruly lands of Northern Charbakin there once reigned a queen. She was wild and beautiful like the land itself, a warrior queen, a hunter queen. Clad in her leather she would be out in the forest with her bow and arrows, but in all times of war she was ahead her small army, sword in hand and a fierce gleam in her eyes. As there was elf blood in her family's veins, she did not age as fast as humans do, but she dreaded the day she would have to put her sword away and give her command to someone else. Her warriors were anxious as well, as they knew there would never be the like of her again. She was the deepest fear of their enemies, the mercyless demon who never lost a battle.
One day, a traveller came to the Queen's Hall. He was old and rugged, with a crooked nose and leaning on a staff. The Queen let him dine with them, as was the custom, but did not pay much attention. Such a man seemed like a weak enemy - weak enemies should not be paid attention to. Yet somehow they ended up in a conversation - how they did, nobody knows. Later they said it was because of the man's power. He was no ordinary old man. The Queen was told he could make her aging stop, that she would live forever, always riding through her forest with her men. He then revealed his true self - a large, strong man with the same crooked nose, but with an aura of power around him so strong that even the Queen felt intimidated.
The deal was struck, but the traveller had not told the entire story of his powers. He was a magician, a lord that reigned over a vast area, and he needed people to do his bidding. He needed an army. He took one of the Queen's eyes and gave her a new one in return; this was to strike the deal and seal the magic. From that day on, she became the magician's army leader. Whenever he wanted them to go somewhere, the Demon Army as they were called were sent out to fight for him. Almost invincible, immortal and with demon-like powers they could not lose. When one of them were killed, he woke back to life moments later, sometimes more hideous than before.
As for the Queen, she regained most of her beauty and strength. The one eye is the only exception - the eye white as milk, nearly shining in the darkness, with the terrible scar through it. She was now truly the demon queen she was always said to be. She could still be seen standing on the walls of her fortress whenever returning from a quest, with her right hand on the sword and her disformed left hand - with claws instead of proper fingers - behind her back so nobody would see. With her standing there and her men eating and laughing in the fortress hall you could almost imagine things were as they had been before, that time had just frozen and preserved them in time. But she always knew the difference, she knew the way her head would empty whenever they were called; the call that was too strong to ever ignore; the way their bodies and minds were not theirs anymore and the life they led between the fights would only be an empty shell of what once was.
Still no background, I didn't really take my time with it. This is also one of those drawing mistakes that results in an entire story and setting and a character I can't get rid of. (For the mistake, it was her right eye - the spooky one.)
I guess there's not much more to say?

Looks great!! Her eye gives her a strange kind of creepy mystical aura about her. It looks really good!

Whoah.... She has the impression of a strong-willed character. Nicely done!
When are you going to do more colour pieces?

I've waited for that question I just have so little inspiration for them. Black and white pieces I can do at work (I'm a receptionist, so there are hours without anything to do) but I need more time for the coloured ones. I'm trying to make more time for them, though

I love the story so much! You should re-write it and put it on it's own! Reading the story brings the picture to life so much. ^^

I am getting more and more set on doing just that. I've been thinking about it, and there's just so much more to the characters and situation that just can't be described in a picture description. If only I hadn't three other stories I'm writing at the moment...

Yep. But fun work, luckily. At least I know I won't run out of ideas for stories for a while...

I think I almost like the description/story more than the actualy picture itself
Really brings some thought and history to the drawing. I like that.
Well in deserve of a favourite, for sure.

Yeah, I think I've got it the same way with the story as well - it wasn't before I got the idea for the story that I actually wanted to finish the drawing. I just hope I get to use it one day. Maybe I could write a story from that kind of perspective - from the possessed, "evil" side of things instead of the heroes. Would be interesting to try, at least.
Thanks for the fav, btw
