Going to use this recipe for making cake pops! Hoping they will stay on sticks..

claremanson In reply to Kerrys-Electric [2011-10-24 04:49:04 +0000 UTC]

oh good luck with that, i tried doing some brownie balls on sticks back along, they would not stay on for long, only just long enough to take a few pictures but someone did give me a tip that i have not tried yet. dip the end of your sticks into some chocolate, this i am told should help give them something to stick onto so should not slide off. let me know how it goes

Kerrys-Electric In reply to claremanson [2011-10-24 14:20:50 +0000 UTC]

Thank you Yeah a lot of recipes say to do that. Most are chocolate, but i dont really like chocolate cake so i was looking for a normal cake recipe to do it with! I'm doing them for bonfire night, so i will let you know

yes finally i found an easy cake ball recipe! ive been looking for somethig simple like this for a long time and every recipe i try they fall apart D': but i have hope that these wont fail me :3

claremanson In reply to blah1200 [2011-07-31 04:13:12 +0000 UTC]

hope it goes well, the key is in the texture, keep adding the cream cheese slowly until you have the right consistency, not too dry, not too wet and you should be okay

blah1200 In reply to claremanson [2011-08-01 03:02:44 +0000 UTC]

VulgarrViking [2011-05-17 22:48:27 +0000 UTC]

I made a similar recipe years ago but instead of cream cheese I mix in about half of a container of frosting to the crumbled up cake.

claremanson In reply to VulgarrViking [2011-05-18 04:46:11 +0000 UTC]

sounds good but maybe a bit sickly?

VulgarrViking In reply to claremanson [2011-05-18 18:29:54 +0000 UTC]

There's also a book I found called Cake Pops that does the frosting method like I do and it has tons of decoration tutorials.
