Description Here it is, the recipe many of you have been waiting for. Hope i made my chocolate cups with cheesecake.

Basic chocolate cup shells are so easy to make as long as you let them set fully and can be used to hold many desserts, mousse, ice cream, truffles, the list goes on.

I tried to make it as simple to follow as possible, if you have any questions please ask and if you make them i would love to see a photo of them.

Hello, Mrs. Manson! My sisters and I tried to make this tonight, and I think we ended up in a failure ^-^" Hehehe, the cups ended up as a disaster...Is it because we didn't use silicone cups? ;____; We still had fun making it though, so it's alright! ^-^ My big sister really likes the taste! Thank you for this wonderful recipe!

awww thats a shame, what did you use instead of silicone? i find them the best thing to use, also they break if you don't leave the chocolate to set fully. glad you had fun and liked the taste though

The only cupcake wrappers in the store were aluminum ;___; Was that really stupid...;___;...How long were we supposed to melt the chocolate?...'Cause we got a really weird consistency =="
Hehe, thanks anyhow ;v; Yes, we enjoyed them <3

claremanson In reply to LovelyDearyYou [2012-06-07 18:11:43 +0000 UTC]

hehe what do you mean weird consistency? if it started going thick, grainy and hard to stir, you burned it. If you melt chocolate for anything and this happens again just add a few drops of cooking oil and stir and it will go nice and smooth and silky again

LovelyDearyYou In reply to claremanson [2012-06-08 00:46:22 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I suppose I did burn it! ==" How foolish. Hehe. But thank you very much for the advice!! ^_^

i have a tips:
you boil water first. then you take a glas bowl and put it in the water so it floates, then put the chocolat inside the bowl. then the chocolat will melt

I wanted to ask how many this recipe would make? :0

My sister is thinking of making some for her leaver's party in art. Just need an estimation of how many silicone cups we'd need to use to make 'em.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

claremanson In reply to riflow [2012-05-28 04:09:04 +0000 UTC]

probably about 7, so double the recipe for more or make little ones with tiny cups

riflow In reply to claremanson [2012-05-28 16:56:19 +0000 UTC]

Thanks very much. : D

We've got about 15 or so silicone cups so we should be set. c:

claremanson In reply to MqvzaAndGx [2012-05-21 04:13:38 +0000 UTC]

oh how come melting the chocolate was so hard? they look like great cups

MqvzaAndGx In reply to claremanson [2012-05-21 19:06:21 +0000 UTC]

I haven't got a microwave oven, so I had to do it the other way (I've got no idea what it's called in english. Waterbath?). When it was melted and I tried to get the cup out of the water there came water in it. And it doesn't taste good with water in (:

Once you add the cheese cake you didn't have to bake it ??
I'm trying to make them haha and my dads telling me you have to bake it but i see that you just take the silacones of (paper in my case :/ ) then just add the cheese cake in and let it set.
no baking ??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

claremanson In reply to Lena-Chann [2012-04-20 04:29:59 +0000 UTC]

no baking, it only needs baking if you add egg to it, this is a no bake cheesecake, doesn't come out as firm as a baked one but is a lot quicker.

Oh wow, these are amazing. I'm gonna try to make them tonight as a test run, and if they turn out well I'll probably make another batch for the food party my class is having in a few weeks. Thanks so much for the recipe, it really is easy to follow and they look great in the end

Well they didn't turn out like expected because my friend and I had to fudge a few things, but the end result was fine too. Lesson learned, and hopefully next time they'll be better

I made them yesterday they are so nice, although I kept them in the cases until ready to serve because knowing me I'd break the chocolate. Love them, thanks for the recipe.

they do look yummy, did you put jam or spread or anything inside?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

darkfairee In reply to claremanson [2012-03-08 14:52:59 +0000 UTC]

I didn't have any so I just put the cheese on the biscuits but they were still really nice. I'll have to make it with something inside next time

claremanson In reply to darkfairee [2012-03-09 05:47:52 +0000 UTC]

my dad found them too sweet with jam but he is picky, which is why i was so nervous giving them to him! think i will put some chocolate chips or something in with mine next time

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

darkfairee In reply to claremanson [2012-03-09 09:14:33 +0000 UTC]

I'd like to try them with all different fillings. Will have to make a batch with jam and chocolate and whatever else I can find. Then theres a lucky dip to what you get
