Okay so I recently watched all the episodes of the new season, yay.
Spoilers ahead for what I’m about to say about the characters.
My overall thought about it was that it was amazing, it kinda lost me near the finale like Disventure Camp however it got me back in the finale! Also goat milk is gross sorry.
Quick disclaimer: I actually don't outright hate any of the new characters, I thought they all served their purpose and all had likeable traits to them.
Now onto my opinions on the characters:
MK - Such a queen! I love how similar she is to Noah, I love her comments on others, I love her strategy of getting through the show, and I love how she looks! Kinda similar to me. Kinda. Well anyway the only thing I didn’t like about her was that she was eliminated before the merge. I’m glad she got further in the next season!
Zee - He was such a comedic character that when he got eliminated I was really angry. His way of going through the show, the fact that people thought he would be the first boot, how he was “sabotaging” both of is alliances, and how he can handle anything except for regular cow milk, its all funny! I like him.
Damien - The only thing I didn’t like about him was how he wanted to get voted off, and when he decided to actually play the game, he got voted off! This is basically all World Tour DJ again! Other than that, Damien is a very good character with a great personality and a great voice! “AYO AYO IT’S DAMIEN TIME!”. He was robbed in Season 2!
Bowie - Now at first, I thought I would hate him. I normally don’t like characters whose entire personality is being gay because other than fan service, you got nothing. However Bowie was such a king ( and a queen ), and I was pissed when he lost to Priya in the finale! His relationship with Raj was well written and just a subplot not a main plot ( cough Aiden and James cough ), his strategy in the semifinals was amazing and he is just, one of the best characters in TD history.
Wayne and Raj - I’m putting these two together because I can okay? So, I really like how instead of making them Katie and Sadie gender swaps, they made them actual characters with actual personalities even though they’re not really smart. Raj’s relationship with Bowie was great, and Wayne being an active supporter was just so heartwarming! Overall these two rock! Also how did Wayne win the next season?
Lauren ( Scary Girl ) - I can appreciate that she was an early boot because she was a stereotype. She’s still very funny and very cool. Her way of going through the Competition was comedic and her comments when something death related was nice. However that’s all I have to say. She’s just that.
Julia - She wasn’t the best antagonist, winning immunity was her strategy, which was a bad one but her interactions with Bowie were super interesting. Gonna be honest with you, I preferred Julia’s fake Dawn persona because of how chill she seemed and how that would make an interesting character. Oh well you can’t always get what you want. Also this is kinda bias because she caused MK’s elimination. Well they did make friends in the next one though, don’t ship them but hey, Julia’s offscreen bullshiting got on my nerves.
Axel - I liked her a little too much, too much that when she got booted second I was pissed. Axel was a very entertaining character especially her interactions with Ripper. Oh well at least she wasn’t first boot, at least she’ll probably get some more screen time in the next season right? She did, and got kind of worse.
Priya - Now despite her constant ' Yeah my parents sent me to this death trap camp ' statements, Priya was actually a character I found myself rooting for in the merge. Only issues with her come from her burning passion to try and kill Millie at the finale but, hey she kinda deserved it. She did not deserve to Screen Hog Season 2 though.
Nichelle - Her voice actress did an amazing job voicing her! She was alright in the first two episodes, until episode 3 she was revealed to be a non athletic person out of nowhere... Oh well hope to see more of her and Axel's friendship in the rematch. I did not get my wish, and Nichelle was reduced to Good At Challenges.
Ripper - I know some people hate this guy ( so does my sister ) but I couldn't help but have a few good laughs when he spoke. His constant farts quickly got annoying but that's Episode 5 for ya. Also his moves in the Cassowary episode during " Get foxy with it, put that bird under a love spell. " was amazing! Good character overall. Season 2 he got less … you know.
Chase - Oh boy this guy. He gave me Logan Paul vibes immediately as he appeared. At first before I watched the show, I thought his design was decent, a little similar to Mike's but whatever. Only issue now? His obliviousness and how toxic his and Emma's relationship is. And speaking of Emma...
Emma - Now at first I couldn't have cared less about her. Her friendship with Bowie was alright and seeing that get destroyed just because she got back with Chase was just, ugh. Also not to mention with her and Chase constantly making out, makes me think they're gonna become the Geoff and Bridgette of the rematch. If it means early boot good. At least she broke up with him but then she got booted herself…
Millie - She was annoying, but I didn't have a problem with her for some reason. Maybe because I didn't care? Oh well, she was just a character that was kinda forgettable to me despite coming in 3rd for some reason... she was carried by Priya.
Caleb - I don't have anything to say about a guy who lasted one episode because Bowie said so. What I can say is he gives me the thought that he'll play a bigger role in the rematch such as Justin or Alejandro or whatever. He didn’t, but he did play a big role though it got kind of boring.
