Yes he was 16 in the 90s for both US and JAP but SEGA changed that when SOnic Adventure came out and they decided to make him 15 instead. Besides, it's better for classic Sonic to be a kid because it would be or of an accomplishment for Sonic to beat Robotnik as a kid in the classics and eventually as a teen in the newer games.

YEAH in the JAPANESE manual, plus that wouldn't make any sense because even in the JAPANESE version of Sonic Jam they said Sonic was 16.

Yeah, then Sonic Adventure came and they lowered his age. Then Sonic Generations came by and it appears classic Sonic is a kid. It's not like age effected the classics anyways, 16 or 10, he still beat Robotnik.

Well, Sonic Jam is just a spin-off so the whole age debate is kinda dumb. First he's 10, then he's 16 and then he's 15, SEGA has to make the age thing clear with us!

I really don't care about his redesign. I like both Modern and Classic designs, they are both badass in there own way. However, the age dispute has to go down somewhere and someday SEGA has to declare what age Sonic is NOW.

I tweeted the ideas but I don't think they are allowed to use them incase people complain of 'stolen ideas'. Ian Flynn gives this reasoning when people show him ideas for the comics.
