Are people that oblivious!?! I've only seen stamps that say "It's Robotnik, not Eggman!" but the makers of those stamps fail to realize it's both names. Yuji Naka has confirmed his real name is Ivo Robotnik while Eggman is just a "common name taken after his shape".Related content

I grew up with the name Robotnik. I will always call him Robotnik. Eggman is stupid.

Both sound ridiculous. I don't know why people are so protective over a silly name. "BUT, ROBUTNIK IS HIS TRUE NAME, EGG MANZ IS JUST A KLOWN, WAAAAH!!!!11!!!!!1!!" What a bunch of idiots. Well, actually the name Robotnik came first. They never changed it, Japan did I think. The JAP Robotnik design came first but the name "Robotnik" came first as well.

Not to be mean or anything, but I couldn't really tell what this stamp said until I read the artist's comments. I think it might be of help if you either changed the color of the text to something that doesn't blend in with the background, or add a semi-transparent white background to the existing one so the text stands out a little better
Also, I do agree with this. He's the same person and it's kinda stupid to fight over a name :/

Some people, mainly fans of SatAM as I am one, use Eggman and Robotnik to describe two different persons/versions of him.
Robotnik in that case the guy from the animated Series who looked far different from any Classic Robotnik, and Eggman to speak about SEGA Robotnik, so to say.
No need to rant about that, some of us have their reasons to seperate his names even if we know about this official version

Well, I give the him the name SatAM Robotnik or Julian Robotnik, it really isn't that hard to separate Robotnik's depending on canon. I made this stamp so people could stop fighting over who SEGA Robotnik/Eggman's REAL name is.

Well in that case, aside from simply saying "Aosth Robotnik", with only using pure names how the heck would you differentiate both Dr. Ivo Robotnik and Dr. Ivo Robtonik ?
I completely agree with Mr. that the only reason people like to label Robotnik and eggman is simply to separate between different Robotniks specifically from Cartoon, video game and other alternate versions. It's not quite cause we're dumb and don't know its a fact that Dr. Eggman's actual full name is Dr. Ivo Robotnik and "Eggman" merely a nickname or alternate alias much like the name "Robotnik" is for Dr. Julian Kintobor.

Wow, I guess I haven't been paying attention to fans who don't like saying the show's name before the character's name. Though, when I said "Are people that oblivious!?!", I mostly meant people who don't know Eggman's legal name is Robotnik or people who think Eggman is his actual name. Sometimes I run into fans who think AoStH Robotnik is Gerald Robotnik and Eggman is his grandson so they get canons confused too.
Your statement seems logical to me!
