Rackagiri
These predatory Igiri's are the biggest carnivores on the remote continent of Zwalcatandoonda. They live in groups of up to 20 animals, such a group is called a "spiking". The oldest female is the leader of the "spiking". Males usually walk all the way in back when searching for prey. The males only come forward when chasing prey. Females are a bit bigger with longer snouts, males have bigger "kloddersacks" (The colourfull lobe on their throat). They use these lobes to attract a female. They can chase prey with speeds of up to 120 km/h, they are very successfull hunters and will catch prey about 85% of the time. They can chase prey for hours on end without getting tiered. The bulb on their bellies excrete pheromones which are used to communicate with the rest of the “spiking”. They are called Leathersprinters because their skin feels like leather. The tribes of Umi's that live here call them different names such as Qulunambi-numpi which means "Blaze of the fields".

Very interesting! Reminds me of that Alien Planet documentary. The Leathersprinters look like they'd be right at home on Darwin IV!
