Description
i hate categories. who the fuck knows where this belongs? anybody?yeah so the last roll was pretty cool. this was really the only frame i hoped would come out okay. was worried because i wasn't sure the film was advancing properly. i even opened the back twice to check.. which exposed about 8 frames.. including this one a little bit, which sucks, but i guess maybe adds a little bit, too.. i dunno.
oh well. was shot at my mom's garage sale. she was selling many boxes of cereal at the garage sale. have you ever seen this? no. i know you have not. yes. my mom is crazy. hi mom.
anyway, it's 4:30am but i wanted to post this one. because i like it. i think it was fuji superia 400 but i am not 100%. looks like it at least. too lazy to check just now. also dont recall the shutter speed or f-stop but i rarely ever do. i'd guess maybe ~ f2.8, 1/500 or so, was overcast and all... some sloppy dodge/burn and USM here.
shot on the fm2 @ 28mm, of course. off to sleep...

I dig man, I dig. Normally, I don't like centered compositions, but somehow it really works for this one. I guess because this robot totally dominates. And I can see the cereal in the back. That's kinda kooky, but I like it.

i love robots, and i love how this turned out. the colours are great, as well as the depth of field. another great example of why films still rules the roost.

Mmmm... garage sale cereal.
I'd say this belongs in "Street Photography"... photojournalism sounds too MSNBC to me. Is this an old toy of yours?
I kinda like the wierd overexposed stripe. My film SLR, an old Mamiya AE, has a shutter blind that sticks a moment more than the rest, so there is always a slightly underexposed diagonal stripe on the bottom 1/10th of the frame. I hated it at first, but I guess it could be somewhat of a signature, a way to know that the image could have only been taken with my camera.

I think the red exposure on the left really adds to the shot... by the way, I really like the "natural" colors ! Nice photo !
