I am planning on dressing up as Rosalina and I wanted to make a Luma to hug....this is just what I needed!!!!

I did that!It was a craft where I made animal print lumas and put accesories acorring to the mario characers(ex.crown+jewel=Rosalina,Peach or daisy.)
Rosalina is cheetah print.Peach is zebra and daisy is giraffe print.
Mario's a tiger and so is Luigi cus well,THERE BROHERS!!

Approximately how many yards of fleece would you need? Now that I've played Super Mario Galaxy 2 and have fallen in love with the Lumas, I want to make a plushie since I can't find one anywhere but online.

This is so adorable I nearly died! What did you use to stuff him? And what, in general, do you think is the best kind of stuffing to use?

They make a synthetic stuffing called fiber-fill or poly-fill which is springy, doesn't lump and is hypoallergenic.

1)did you hand sew him/her and what thread did you use?

These are machine sewn, but they're easy to hand sew. Regular thread? I use poly-fill or fiber-fill.

i only have a mini sewing machine and it doesn't go threw fleece :[

Yeah let give you some advice if you don't want a broken back:When you finish sewing both curly pieces to the straight pieces,take a 10 minute break and lie down.Trust me,you'll do much better if you do that.

:] good advice, my neck useally really hurts after sewing. I've been using a pair of nail clippers to pull the needle threw the fleece, which has saved my fingeres from falling off.
