It's kinda weird when people immediately assume that, if you like Japanese culture, you must also be an anime/manga fan, like, you are supposed to watch 3000 anime per day, or something like that.Not always true. I like Japanese culture a lot, because I think it's interesting and also fascinating, but I'm not really into manga and anime. I like a few anime, like Death Note, also a bit Naruto, but I can't actually define myself as a fan of the genre. In fact, most anime don't interest me. I'm not an expert of the cathegory, nevertheless I know a good amount of things about Japan and its culture. I don't need to be an anime fan to like Japan. A person could also just dislike anime/manga, but like Japan.
Also, I met some crazy anime fans that knew nothing about Japan, exept anime, manga and videogames. As you can see, you can't judge people on such things.

I personally think that people should like more things about the Japanese culture then just anime and manga.

Though just as an addition what really makes me laugh is when I see some american try to draw anime or manga and they have the wrong side on top on the kimonos. XDDDDDDD

I love both anime and manga and the japanese culture. Its more or less the case of anime/manga got me interested in the culture itself.
Japan has really cool items. Both old traditional stuff and new modern stuff. Who can blame you

Its the opposite for me. I enjoy anime and some manga, but I don't care about Japan as a country, or their cultures.

Yeah, this can happen. I met people like you. There's nothing wrong with it, though I met even people who said "u can't be an anime/manga fan if u aren't obsessed with Japan". Other bullshit.
