Description The head of an AT-AT, aka the Imperial Walker. I don't know what inspired me to make this, but I've always liked the design. The AT-AT was the signature of Imperial might on the ground, capable of hauling hundreds of troops safely onto the battlefield, and, despite their main use as a transport (AT-AT=All Terrain Armoured Transport) they were more than able to handle themselves on the ground, they were built to withstand all ground-based weaponry. As far as I'm aware, they substituted armour for shields, so even an ion cannon, known for its ability to disable even Star Destroyers, couldn't do much to this thing. They were also armed with four laser cannons, so if necessary, they could take the offensive pretty easily, as well, as seen in The Empire Strikes Back. I have wrestled with their practical use in the Star Wars galaxy, and so far I have to say the only thing I don't understand are the legs. Canon says they were designed so long in order to avoid mines, but why not simply use repulsorlifts? But then, I guess Star Wars was never intended to make too much sense within the real world. And they did end up looking pretty cool, if you ask me.
