But yeah, this was made completely in Blender 3.0, I figured I may as well try to learn it. And honestly, I am loving the EEVEE engine, though this is the only thing I've really done with it. The bloom on the blade look incredible, though. I still don't love the UI, but I'm learning to hate it a little less, which I think is progress. Also, yes, I am 100% procrastinating on the ship models, as I said in the video description. I'm a bit lost as far as where to go on them for now. I will get back to them, they're not lost causes, for sure, I actually think they're going really well, so I'm terrified of ruining them by continuing. I'll get to it, though.
Anyway, what I was doing with this model: basically testing how to model in 3.0, and trying out "knurling." It makes the poly count ridiculous, but I really like the result. Anyway, yeah. I don't think I'll really continue with this model. If I do make another lightsaber, I'll make a custom one, but this is the final result for this one. It is not perfect by any means, but it was definitely a good test.
