Description Well...I mean, I had to model an old car at some point, right? So why not start with an old classic? This has actually proven to be a LOT more difficult than I thought it would be, I've never had any particular fascination with cars, so this is pretty new to me. PLEASE criticise anything that needs it, I want this to be a good model. Anyway, based of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's design, I actually thought it was an early model even in Titanic's time, but apparently, it's a 1920s race car. So...
This thing will DEFINITELY appear in my final Titanic animation and the final product, though more as an easter egg than anything serious. As a race car, it doesn't quite fit in with the other cars that will crowd the Southampton scene (Speaking of, I should probably start modeling a Renault and a Ford Model "T" soon), so it will be a singular car, for just a second of the clip, if that. I honestly don't know what else to say for this one, so..I'm off.

Wow, you and I really do think along the same lines lol. Now that I'm actually thinking about it, I guess this will be a "background" prop, too. Or at least, an overshadowed prop. Far from the main focus, but in the final product I do want it to be an interactive object that the player can visit and maybe even drive (haven't decided on whether or not to include driving mechanics, yet). Of course, for the animation the only 'special' modeling I need to do is the lights, it won't be a moving object . Obviously, I know NOTHING about cars, if you see anything that needs changing, please let me know, I'm going off a single angle of the car here. Okay, I'm rambling now. I'll stop talking. Sorry for the paragraph reply XD.

YES! Thank you for those images, those are EXACTLY what I needed. I was actually working on the headlamps when you posted this, but I'm moving straight on to the suspension, now! That's also an image of the car I hadn't found, so...keeping that bookmarked . I'll keep the ball joint thing in mind, I am considering posing the wheels. I don't plan on animating it, but I do need it rigged for the final project, so I may as well get it out of the way now. By the way, I'm guessing there isn't a way to link two empties so they rotate the same but don't shift at all, is there? Oh, wait, I just thought: object data. Ctrl+L I think it is. So, I'm wrong XD. (On a side note, I now have the image of someone cranking a blimp engine stuck in my head, and now I can't stop laughing. So, thanks for that XD.)
