Thanks to some assistance from www.deviantart.com/starlite-of… , I was able to fix the solidify modifier to apply an even thickness all around the ship. I also decided to add the forward hangar(?), and started doing some work to fix the odd mesh errors around the indentations (hence the odd triangle-ish pattern on the port side of the ship, here). Still haven't gotten to the superstructure or bridge, yet, same for the engines, but the shape is coming along nicely!
