Thank you for your comment.The colours I use are always muted earth colours,and this particular piece is made up of Titanium buff, tonal greys and flesh tones, which don't really show up too well on the image.

Yes, I can understand your sentiments to that word too.It's an absolutely beautiful word with so much attached to it. I was looking through a book on Islamic Art some months back and was contemplating the complete and consummate level of detail they applied to their craft.I could only liken it to devotion and enlightened. Just had a weird one, looking at this. I'm sitting beside a palette covered in oils and turps, and for a second, was convinced I was in YOUR studio, getting the full 3d, sensurround experience. It's lovely, of course. You ought to take up painting full-time, like, quit the jam factory.
