Created for the Magic Origins set of Magic: The Gathering. Brief called for "the epic moment where an archmage powers up before unleashing some devastating spell. Show a female archmage in front of a special mage ring scope that focuses a stream of pale blue energy onto her. She is readying her spell as mana flows into her. Her eyes glow blue. She is yelling in an effort to contain so much power."
I decided to use the strengths of digital media instead of trying to make it look traditional and painterly.
