Description
Illustration for Applibot's game Chaos Drive. I had originally created the character as an example for my upcoming character design book but I pitched the concept to Applibot who liked it so I did this full painted version. The idea was a futuristic centurion, one that would share many of the same visual cues but be more ornate and advanced.Related content

I don't have a definite date at the moment, it's one of those things I keep working on in between other projects. I am considering breaking it into two parts though in which case it wouldn't take too long to wrap up what I have now then finish the rest at at a later time.

Clint this is epic!! how do you come out with patterns like these? is it calculated or is it more of an organic "it will come with time" kind of procces?

It's a combination but probably more calculated. The organic part of the process is the instinct of whether the direction you're going with is the right direction. It's my belief that if it's completely organic then it's almost useless as you can't repeat the process but if it's more calculated where you understand each step and why you did it then you can apply that knowledge and approach again.
