Description
At some point, I got tired of the normal view of things, and thought to capture random life. In this case, it is the scarring of the red bud branch by the careless feet of birds. For I some reason, I felt compelled to add dust to the image, perhaps in rebellion against my own search for a better bird shot. My muse was certainly a love of vivid life.Related content

So glad to see the work of another photographer who uses movement/slower shutter etc, to super effect.
Seems so many bird/wildlife photographers just cannot seems to get their subjects sharp enough, and these
birds look so plastic and shot in a museum. This one of yours: Even worthy of a DD.....wow, what more can I say other than: CONGRATS!

Thank you, Alexandra. Currently a very large canvas print hangs on display in a show in downtown Kansas City. I guess it is my best bird shot, and the result of many years taking photos of common birds. Like all good things, there was as much luck involved as skill, and the art applied was strangely incidental, as I was mostly playing in the post-processing. I took it so that someone would love it, and in so doing, feel the vividness of this Creation, and draw their own spiritual conclusions. God bless you for your comment and for all the good things you will do in life.

Hey Clippercarrillo...
Well...I already faved this photo a few days ago when I saw it in the Daily Deviations. But now I "came back", because I really want to tell you, that this is for sure one of the most beautiful photographs I have seen here so far....I think it's even one of the most beautiful ones I have generally seen. I just love it. It's colour, it's dynamic, it's going into blurry, it's mood....everything. It's fragile and strong at the same time and it has something very volatile...it's like life itself
To be honest: I often wonder about which works get a DD, because here is so much other amazing stuff to find on DeviantART. But I'm very happy that this one got one...it's more than deserved !
I really think about buying an art print once... would love to have it in my everyday life ...

It is a great comment that you make. I especially appreciate that you perceive the fragility of the bird in the image. That is what the power of the photo depends upon. You may have noticed that the cardinal is lame, and has one paralyzed leg. Such things cause me great sadness to see, but still the creature has dynamic life. Thanks for seeing it, and especially for telling me. You have made the endeavor worthwhile.

Well...I'm very pleased about your nice reaction ! It's great when people are able to appreciate enthusiasm to their work (doesn't seem to be a of course here
). I love to give people words and interest when I like their work....that should it be about here...and help each other spreading out.
But back to topic .... Your "exit up" is one of my top favourites I have seen here so far.
And: Not my or any other comment made the endeavor worthwhile.... just the amazing result made it !

Beautiful shot! It adds so much more interest when it is not just a bird sitting on a branch (even though I love those shots too) Congrats on DD
