This is my back yard Rene ... I live in Auburn NY, just moved from Moravia .... Aurora is lovely ! You can learn to love the beauty of the winters .... ever seen a flock of snow geese taking flight off the lake into the sun ? or the ice formations at any off the many waterfalls surrounding the lakes ? Watkins Glen is almost mystically beautiful in the winter .... There is however nothing beautiful about the taxes , thats for sure ! btw there are several awesome photography galleries in Ithaca NY right off the commons and also Skaneateles has a place called Skaneateles Artisans where you can view amazing works ..... Ithacas Farmers Market is awesome too, lots of artists, food, local produce, often there are musicians performing .... there is a blue heron rookery .... trying to think of the name .... you would LOVE it !!! a wildlife photographers paradise .... anyway, its nice to have you in the neighbor hood !!! Lovely photo of the lake !

I lived in Penn Yan for 27 years, where we raised our kids. I did love it. In the old days, it was very wild. Glad you moved to Aurora. You will love it there.
