I completed this as part of a tutorial in the digital art magazine ImagineFX. The tutorial showing how I coloured it is in the January 2009 issue. Basically, it's the same technique used for the Hollow Fields covers (although this picture is simpler and quicker).I just went with a tableau of Ricketts, Notch and Weaver in human form. I'm not sure if it's meant to be symbolic, but it gives off that vibe!
The magazine includes a five page tutorial plus some digital files showing how colour is applied to my lineart.

I actually have a tutorial book with your artwork in it. It was this pic that inspired me to draw gothic and adventurous things.

The skeleton in the background seems to foreshadow what happens to all of them, once Weaver gets her odd ideas to live forever.

I like the colors, clothing ans posture.... although the skulls of the character in the center give her legs a flat look... but this is a simple thing ^_^

Hm, I always imagined Weaver being blonde as a human. Of course, manga is black and white so it would be easy for anyone to make that mistake, I guess.

Is it just me or does young Notch look a lot like Lucy? Family resemblance perhaps? Or am I reading too much into it.
