And here's the second set! For this one, I dug a bit into Captain Toad and Yoshi's Island. It was kinda fun trying to characterise the powerups so they'd actually look different in the pencil sketch, and not just be palette swaps. Any further things I do in the Plants vs. Koopas series will probably also start introducing plant-based enemies in the style of PvZ, like Piranha Plants and such.Part 1: clockworkmelody.deviantart.comβ¦

I just love the faces you made on those melons. Β The green one looks like an Ukiki, the Fire Melon is a Gargantuan Blaarg and the Ice Melon is a Snifit.

Koopa do mind plants, you should watch SMBSS Princess I shunk the Marios, as Bowser and koopa pack are in garden and then in a green house, what Koopas don't like about plants is Vegetables, first off the carttoon is based of SMB2, there's alot episodes that vegetables are use to get Koopa fly the koop, but even before SMB2, Koopas shows not to like mushroom/ vegetables as he want take over it Peach's Kingdom of Mushrooms, so he would have take over then clear the mushrooms from the kingdom to call it his own.
Now of course there's a good resson he doesn't like vegetables and that is he affected by them, make him or other Koopas ill, so what slow him and troopa down are vegetables in The Mushroom Kingdom, which also explain why he's troopa are never again good at stop Mario, as be try to keep vegetables and mushrooms from growing, there's episode that explain this in AOSMB3 where Bowser and Larry let out a vegetable eating Goombas to eat the vegetables they are growing, but not sure if is a AOSMB3 may been SMW episode, what trying to say is you should call your game Vegetables and Koopas or more mario themed Mushrooms and Koopas.
