Dramatictitlemuch?Sketchbook Assignment: "Favorite Animal" [^__^;]
Materials: Pencils ala HB, 2B, and 6B; Prismacolor colored pencils, tissue, kneaded eraser, ballpoint pen, and o'course, white-out.
Time: 4 to 6 hours over two days.
hmmm... slowly getting happier with my projects..
The background would've been more detailed if I didn't have a chapter outline and research paper due..
But hey, I like what I did considering my time constraints.
Kind of lied about it being my favorite animal, the sea turtle...infact I prefer land turtles but...they're just not as colorful.

For something that looks so intricate and realistic, this didn't take that long to do. I love how the turtle just burst out of the paper with all the vibrant colors.

you really think so? i think i'm ridiculously slow at drawing, but then i see people who can spend months on a drawing, perfecting every detail... i can't imagine what my pieces would look like if i had the time to do that...

That is amazing. I love the colors of the turtle. And it looks fine without a "better" background. The way it is now makes your focus be on that wonderful turtle. And I love how it overhangs the border. That makes it look like it's swimming toward me. Fantastic piece!!
