When I whisper of my woesHow can anyone hear
When the din of their own lives
Is ringing in their ears
Forcing a smile as they glance
Frown as they look away
Please somebody turn around
I'm really not okay
You refuse to see the signs
A deluge of denial
Drowns out my facial features
The absence of a smile
Obliged to ask how I am
Your concerns I allay
But then again I would do
I'm really not okay
Hold back the transparent tears
A dam of repression
I'll be damned if anyone
Sees through my confession
Slowly my world unravels
Life's tapestry will fray
My pain has been tailor made
I'm really not okay
I write poems and stories
Keep a diary with me
Leave it in public places
Hoping someone will see
And tell me how they have read
Up to the present day
Hold me close and say those words
Are you really okay?

OMG!! This is completly my life!! i can totally relate to this! i write poems, drop hints,. hope someone will realize when im sad..but tht's only when im sad. i always feel better when someone asks if im okay because it let's me know tht they cared enough.. This is a great poem!!! i love the writing style!

I've had problems with Depression..My poems show it...But this is great.
Probably use more periods or commas, it will help the poem flow more. It helps me out a lot. Feel free to read some of my mine.

I did in the beginning, but I've gotten stronger at it. It does help a lot, because it allows readers to really understand what you're trying to tell them.
English was my strongest subject.

Beautifully written. I really like it. The emotions are described very well, strongly, without being too much.
I can relate to this, the feeling, and it actually reminds me of a poem I wrote December last year. It's about the same topic. Hiding the pain, but hoping someone will notice. Then place it where it is visible to everyone, hoping someone will see it.
This one deserves a fave.
