Forcing a smile as they glance
Frown as they look away

I'm really not okay
You refuse to see the signs
A deluge of denial
Drowns out my facial features
The absence of a smile
Obliged to ask how I am
Your concerns I allay
But then again I would do
I'm really not okay
Hold back the transparent tears
A dam of repression
I'll be damned if anyone
Sees through my confession
Slowly my world unravels
Life's tapestry will fray
My pain has been tailor made
I'm really not okay
I write poems and stories
Keep a diary with me
Leave it in public places
Hoping someone will see
And tell me how they have read
Up to the present day
Hold me close and say those words
Are you really okay?

i never suggested that they didnt have the right to post shitty poems, i only expressed my opinion that the poem is shitty. theres a pretty big difference. what does originality have to do with popularity? deviantart is largely populated by idiot children who feel bad for themselves; the main audience for shit poems like this. it makes sense that this sort of thing would be more popular than anything i have produced. just because they didnt ask for a critic doesnt mean that i cant express distaste. i could just as easily tell you that i didnt ask for a reply, especially a stupid one.

Uhm, if you would take the time to look at his account, you would realize he is not a kid. And for one, I find this poem very creative, easy to relate to, and well-written. Sometimes you shouldn't comment on things you have nothing nice to say about. Unless, of course, you yourself is a child who was never taught otherwise.

It's not unoriginal at all, it's a very relatable piece of literature written from the heart, it's simplistic and strikes the reader at the heart. This is not anything like what a 12 year old may post on the internet, you need to educate yourself.

if you find this original, im not very sure what rock you must live under. it isn't well written, the concepts have been reused over and over by stupid little preteens, and there is nothing at all different or special or interesting about it. the only paople who would relate to this are other stupid little emo kids who post the same shit and just think their lives are terrible.

The first couple lines of this are really true. That's why I try to be there for anyone who is having a rough time, in hopes that they'll be there for me when I need them. Unfortunately it works about as well as painting a target on your heart.
