Description
It has been mentioned for the longest time and now it has finally arrived. I have the pleasure to present to you all the work of a more than a year. No doubt one of my most testing works as it is 36cms by 41cms and features 39 different colours. I hope that all my watchers feel the wait was worth it as Cross Stitch is not a quick art form as it would like telling a photographer to put together one of their pieces, pixel by pixel. Cross Stitch will always be a labour of love and I live in the hope that more younger people take up this art form rather than feeling it is something that only the elderly ladies perform.I found it quite difficult to name this piece as there is a certain serenity about it many names were considered but I hope this one will suit. Anyhow enjoy.

Thank you for the favourite. This piece took about a year and I expect to release another one a bit larger than this one early next year.

Nice work. I love it heaps. I love tigers, i love the fact that you can work on this and not get bored with it. Time definitely worth it, every second of it.

Thank you for the favourite and the kind words. I really appreciate it. I'm currently working on a larger project than this one that should finished early next year. I hope to perhaps see you back and best of luck with all your projects. You're so lucky to have found needle work so young. I didn't really pick up the art again until I got into University.

So beautiful ^^
I tried Cross stitch once but it was really trying. I stick to drawing and latchhook work. I do knit though.
Very well done ^^

Thank you. To be honest I'm in awe of you being able to knit and latchhook. I've occassionally thought about trying my hand at latchhooking but knitting looks complex.

Both are rather easy once you know how to actually do them. Knitting is quite a bit more hard than latchhook.
Two years back I finished a very large latchhook piece...surprised I haven't added it to my gallery but it came out beautifully. I'll post a picture of it when I get the chance.
As for knitting I've done a large scarf and have been working on and off with putting together a blanket with variously colored squares of knitting.

You will definately have to post up this latchhook piece. It would be wonderful to have a look.

Words fail me. This is really amazing.
Never thought someone would have the time and/or attention spam to do something this beautiful.
All the detail and realism... This is truly an amazing work. Glad you liked the outcome.
Hope you continue doing wonderful works as this one ^^
Best wishes o/

I just wanted to say thank you for such a heart warming comment. I think it is comment like these and lots of drive that ultimately get me to the end of a project. I've working on one currently that is larger than 'Always Together' which is quite challenging at times as it took me a while to bond with the piece. It sounds quite crazy but my pieces often travel with me so I enjoy working on them more. It took me a while to get into this new one.
But enough babble from me. Thank you again.

It took a fair bit of time but the jouney is always worth while despite sometimes at the end you just want to give up.
Cross Stitching is wonderful big or small and you'll have to come and show it off when you are done. The Cross Stitchers around here have a club called *stitchingpirates and since Pirates are the flavour on the times. You know you want to be there.
By the way you have a gorgeous gallery. It is wonderfully striking.

Before I saw the full sized version, I mistakenly thought it was a painting! I admire your patience; you are truly one very talented person. I don't think I've seen such an astonishing piece of work before. The concept, colors and emotions shine through this piece - you've put a lot of work into this, and I think it paid off.

holy moly...
I tried cross stitch once.. but since it was a class project I just half-assed it for the grade. We couldn't get too complex anyway, the class was five weeks long. It was pretty relaxing though. I still prefer embroidery

Indeed it is created stitch by stitch. Sometimes I wish it was magic and you could complete whole sections by doing one stitch or something.

Absolutely. The thought of magical stitching is normally in some moment of madness when you are about 6 months into a project.

haha, but seeing the completed product is all worth it. i love that feeling, to see little pieces come together and realize a whole, when a picture, something recognizable is born out of lines.

Well done! As a fellow stitcher I can vouch for the length of time a piece takes. I got a friend of mine into cross stitch and even though she is a person of more instant gratification, she loves it. What a beautiful piece, the colors blend gorgeously. My daughter would love this one.

Only whole stitches so all the detail is made out of sheer size and colour.
