Description
This is the gorgeous girl which Marty and I brought home from the Gold Coast this morning. We have named her Baci and would like to thank Caroline and Robyn from Bojak Border Collies - [link] for allow us to give her a home.Like all photo happy parents I've put together these photographs of her first moments arriving home.

Thank you. I'm sure Baci thinks the same of herself. She tied with her sister yesterday in her Lure Coursing Trial. However unlike her sister, Baci is a brat and will take off for another run. I always sigh and threaten to get a dog that is slower ... but in reality wouldn't trade the Borders in for the world.

Thank you your kind comment and the favourite. Baci is indeed really adorable. She is all grown up now and still has a silly grin wherever she goes. That is one thing I'm glad that that hasn't changed, but what I am glad that changed is her attitude. Would you believe this adorable little puppy would growl at me when I scolded her for climbing stairs and keep on doing it? Luckily she now has some respect for me.

You've got yourself a lovely Border Collie there ^^ I was reading your journal and am happy to see that you guys have her in training. This breed is so amazing to watch when they are following commands, I've never seen another like it. They're just so focused.

I think it is a very important thing to provide training for all dogs as it really does make a lot of difference and it keeps them entertained at the same time ... especially important for working dogs as they get bored so fast. * Grins. * But I'm stating the obvious as you know all about that.

-nods- I feel the same. I love training with my dogs. Its strengthens the bond amoung other things. -winks- Don't worry about that, I love talking about furry critters. Even if its stuff I have already heard, there is always a bit of something new is every coversation

Mmm I guess when you raise a puppy in a family situation I find they love everyone equally rather than just the one person. Mindful I am yet to own a dog that had a bond as close (this isn't to say I think any less of the dogs I've had across my lifespan) as the one my Grandfather had with his Doberman Whiskey. It was one of the most amazing things to see how that dog cared for him as they grew old together. It would howl till my Grandpa got the phone as his hearing was going and it would make a fuss if my Grandpa feel out of bed so my Grandma could sort him out. Dogs truly are wonderful creatures.

Thats true though. My pup was raised with the entire family and thus doesn't really feel closer to any one person. As far as I can tell anyway.

I have to agree with you, Dobermans are indeed awesome. We grew up with lots of them, all named after alocholic spirits as they were Grandpa's favourite breed. After Whiskey passed away he was dead set on getting another but he was really too frail to train another as they really require a fair bit of energy. I tried to convience him to perhaps change to something smaller but he wasn't keen. I didn't really understand it until I fell in love with the Border Collie. I think for every person who has every had a dog or wanted one there is always a breed out there for them.

Indeed and beautiful to look at when they are all grown up. It is just the really odd skinny stage that they are not so cute. Baci is going through that at present.

Yer she is really adorable. Still lots of training to do so we'll see how she takes to it. She has a mind of her own as she is the only dog that has ever told me off when I said 'no' to her.

Baci is extremely adorable, she is all feet at the moment. We will endeavour to raise her well as we already have lined her up for puppy preschool. I'm a bit nervous as our last Border Collie Xing Xing was a gorgeous dog. She was a bit shy (I think that is due to her being the smallest in the litter) but she was a really good natured dog who loved everyone and just didn't set a foot wrong really.

Puppy pre-school! It's so adorable, when I go to doggyschool, it's in the A class, never did puppy-preschool, but, when I see them busy, it's like the CUTEST thing EVER, all those puppies! XD

Puppy preschool is pretty cute. I am looking forward to start tackling the classes as she is quite a responsive girl and hopefully will do well in Obedience.
