Recently I've been drawing Death Note characters like crazy. Before this, I thought drawing fanart was just something you should do ...almost an obligation.
"I like this show. I should draw some fanart."
"I need to practice my drawing. I might as well draw some fanart."
A couple of weeks ago I caught up with watching the Death Note anime and I've fallen madly in love with it. I can't stop drawing the characters. It's like stress relief. For the first time, I really, really want to draw these characters because I like them so much. Ahaha, this is so weird for me.

The title comes from the back of the photo that Near has. I've always wondered what the context of that phrase was, "Dear Mello."
