Here is a bit of fanart featuring characters drawn by the inimitable Rodolfo Cortez aka sumo0172 ( ). It depicts his characters Sara, the Line, and Meg duking it out with a bunch of hellacious mutant creature thingys (my own creation, just for kicks).Rodolfo's artwork, in case you haven't seen it, is simply amazing. The anatomy in his drawings is impeccable; the lines and shading are elegant and beautiful. I wish I possessed the knowledge he possesses in drawing the human form.
My drawing sucks but this is my little tip of the hat to this fine artist.

*sumo0172 is indeed fantastic, but could you stop with the self-deprecation? Be proud of your work, man! Your drawing doesn't suck, actually it looks amazing. I was thinking to myself that technically it's one of your best so far. I can see no immediate mistakes. Anatomy is spot on, the poses are dynamic and full of action, the composition is busy and exploding outwards, which works great.
Your art is more "dirty" than your friend and gets a bit distorted at times, but not only it goes with the theme of your ideas and stories, your mistakes tend to integrates with your style. They are not a big deal. As correct your friend is, I like your style better because I can tell who did it. This is very important for you to remember. You are very easy to recognize.
If you want to improve on anatomy or whatever you think you lack (?), something that is troubling you, pick the books again and do a little studying.

Sorry, Leonor. I'm not that confident a soul but I do love drawing and creating stories. I suffer a lot from doubt, which can be deadly to an artist, because artists need to keep experimenting and taking risks, such as submitting art to publishers. It took me a long time just to post my art on the web!
I doubt I'll ever give up, though.

Rodolfo, I'm excited to hear you liked the drawing. If anything in the drawing became canon in your story, I'd be on cloud nine. Needless to say, I have immense respect for you as an artist, so it makes me feel great to know that enjoyed my rendition of your characters.
