Fantastic job. You've shown you can present serious scenes just as well as funny ones. Also, the eating the tire was hilarious.

Interestingly, I have the story laid out extensively in my head. Each day or so I try to move a bit forward on illustrating what's laid out in my head.

I like to mix up my stories with a lot of humor and drama. It's one the things I loved about the Charlie Chaplin films how he was able to effectively blend both.

I couldn't agree with you more. You need a healthy helping of both to really make a good story, especially here and there with the thrillers. Horror stories are a bit trickier in my opinion, but with a touch of humor lightly served does help too.

They certainly have and I think "Duck Grimes" knows it.

I don't watch The Walking Dead, so I don't know the names of the characters, but the part where the guy is kicking the wife looks weird because of his strange smile. He looks happy in that panel, which I know isn't true, but it seems that way to me at least. Whether or not you'll change it is up to you, but I feel that it interrupts the sadness of this comic (is that the right word for this?).
Anyways, keep up the good work. It's looking very good.

Most of the characters don't really have names in "The Quacking Dead", except the main character who shows up at the beginning of the story is named "Duck Grimes" and the little girl is named "Clemduck" (a name courtesy of ).
Thanks for letting me know your thoughts about the guy's smile and how you thought it looked too happy. I've since modified it to look more like a grimace of disgust.

Thanks, Ben! I'm glad to hear you're still reading. I wondered if maybe I lost some readers there with that dark part but most of my stories have a dark or sad undercurrent.

It is true that your stories tend to be sad and dark.
Then again, this is a zombie story. Sadness and death and dark are all part of the genre. Just try to intersperse your humor as often as possible and I should be good.
