Whether or not that's a duck equivalent of Lee, it's open for interpretation.ย But that's definitely Clementine, or "Clemduck".ย

Thanks!ย I love the character Clementine (not to mention the game series she is showcased in), so I thought I'd throw her in as a sort of treat.

sa-right. I waiting for a cartoonist brave enough to show a butterfly knife being opened. lots of wrist movement in that.

I can understand why they wouldn't though...the amount of time it would take in a comic like this (to do it well) might not be worth it.

which is why I never ask. unfair to tie up that much talent. for a single hand-motion.

Odachi65 In reply to syzygym [2014-06-15 08:25:36 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, you can do it with animation, but it would be a couple of panels at least...in a full comic it would be pretty great though. It'd have to be the main weapon of a character or something though.

No problem. Thank you for making the series, I'm sure the creators of the Walking Dead would be proud. You do it with such style, and you aren't unwilling to make a good joke with it either. The slapstick and "classic" cartoon comedy mixes together surprisingly well. This is a very creative idea, excellent job so far.

Noticed somethin. The blade is facing upwards in every frame except the frame where he hesitates. There it faces downward.

cluedog In reply to zephyrftw [2014-06-13 12:01:54 +0000 UTC]
I see what you're saying, although it may be I screwed up where I placed the handle on the knife and not so much where the blade is facing.ย Regardless, I didn't notice the error.ย Thanks for pointing that out.

tirusr In reply to cluedog [2014-06-13 14:42:02 +0000 UTC]
I'd also like to point out (if someone hasn't yet) that the end of the blade goes from lightly curved to straight lines after he calls bull$#!? and raises it over his head.
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
cluedog In reply to tirusr [2014-06-14 12:33:46 +0000 UTC]
You're absolutely right about the discrepancy between the two panels.ย While I'm no stranger to mistakes, the truth is I was running out of space on the bristol board and, due to the peculiar closeness of the drawings to each other, I had to make the blade a bit more curved in this drawing to keep it from overlapping into another drawing I had previously made.ย

Maybe the handle is loose?
Frame 9: Handle on the bottom side
Frame 11: Handle in the middle
Frame 12: Handle on the top side
The blade clearly slipped down. One more hesitating moment longer and it would have fallen off. XD

tirusr In reply to cluedog [2014-06-13 14:34:34 +0000 UTC]
Corruption at the top levels of management prevented them for transitioning from film to digital photography. They made their move about ten years to late (which in technology is like starting the race after everyone is on the last lap). Canon and Nikon already dominated the market and kodak couldn't compete. This eventually lead them to the shutting down the photography division. The company is still around. They just don't Cameras anymore.
