Jemez Falls camp grounds -Santa Fe National Forest - New Mexico -
hunting for color and in a flash it's there ...

it's been nine years since we were hunting hummers a horrible drought has changed all our lives here in the SW 
Anyway, I changed the classification to digital because of all the photoshop editing - back in 2009 I didn't really understand photography means zero playing with values, etc. Anyway - hope you still enjoy the image

the trick is to catch them just right in the 
one second the throat looks quite black -
the next second intense red
